Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Informaticist shall provide pharmacist clinical applications coordination services in a medical facility in Chinle, AZ. This facility administers health centers and hospitals providing health care to approximately 244,209 members of the Navajo Nation. The Navajo Nation is the largest tribe in the United States and has the largest reservation, which encompasses more than 25,516 square miles in northern Arizona, western New Mexico, and southern Utah, with three satellite communities in central New Mexico.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform pharmacist informaticist duties and indirectly manage patient's needs via informational system or computer-based work.
• Coordinate and provide support for Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related software and hardware programs throughout the hospital campus.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot MS Access databases used in the pharmacy. Troubleshoot any additional pharmacy reports as needed to optimize pharmaceutical services. This includes but not limited to Antibiotic Stewardship, Billing Point of Sale, and medication adherence data.
• Oversee the updates of Guardrails Alaris system as needed to safely administer infusion medications and troubleshoot any BMCA related issues as needed.
• Follow all appropriate federal and locally required information Technology security requirements and will be operating under HIPPA and Privacy Act regulations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Have overall thirty-six (36) months of Pharmacists' experience, with a minimum of six months (6) working as an CAC informaticist in the specialty required by the contract. There must be no lapse of services of more than 1 year prior to beginning tour of duty.
• All pharmacist informaticists shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is mandatory for all specialties.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license throughout the term of this contract.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check.
• License verification, education, and certifications must be provided at the time of application and can be emailed to certification@chloeta.com.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to frequently lift at least 15 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing/walking.
• At the time of hire, must provide a fitness for duty certificate issued by a licensed physician to perform the proposed job without significant risk to personal health or the health and safety of others.
• At the time of hire, must provide documentation of evidence of immunizations as required by the facility's immunization policy.

Pre-employment Requirements:

Drug and Alcohol Testing:

To enforce Chloeta’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, an employee or candidate could be subject to undergoing a drug screen and/or alcohol testing at the beginning of employment, as well as after commencement of employment where there is reasonable suspicion of intoxication, or following an automobile or other accident, or as part of a company or facility-wide random drug screen process.

Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):

Under the FCRA, Chloeta may request a credit check during the onboarding process. A written authorization form will be required before obtaining credit records.

Emergency Response:

Every Chloeta employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official Duty Station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official Position Description (PD). Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
